The Herbs for Birds range was developed by Meridian Herbs. Margie Frayne is a qualified herbalist that has been making supportive tinctures with great success for people, animals and birds for four decades. Margie’s tinctures are well known and trusted by aviculturists and avian veterinarians in South Africa.

The herbs are either grown by Margie herself or sourced from reputable growers. No shortcuts are taken to make these tinctures. The products are all pure herbal extracts rather than homeopathic.

Herbs for Birds is the herbal tincture of choice to aviculturists and veterinary  professionals across South Africa, developed specifically for birds and used in safety and trust for over a decade.

The Herbs for Birds drops contain alcohol as solvent and preservative as this is international best practice for medical-grade herbal tinctures. These tinctures are highly concentrated, sterile and will not go rotten if not stored in a fridge. The tinctures are used at a dilution of 1 (ONE)PART PER 1000(THOUSAND), which results in a final concentration of less alcohol as a percentage than is found in ripe fruit or freshly baked bread.
